Fellow Testimonials

Shannon’ O’Neil Creighton (2020-21)
My Fellowship experience at GRO offered me a supportive container to pursue a large-scale photography and oral history project. Upon completion, I received resources and valuable experience during installation and a meaningful platform to exhibit my work and be in dialog with the community. Additionally, there were great opportunities to work in the gallery setting and participate in GRO’s programs, like Artists in the Schools. I am grateful for my time spent with GRO and would recommend it to emerging artists!

Becca Barolli (2019-20)
The Fellowship at Gallery Route One provided an opportunity to participate in a member run gallery setting. I was able to have a solo show and place work with a handful of collectors. I made connections with other local artists and organizations and was even interviewed for a local radio show. Overall, it was a worthwhile experience that I would recommend to any emerging artist!
