Since I was a child, “art” has been a way for me to dialogue with myself. It’s a solitary, internal time, used to investigate, communicate and open in a nonverbal way. The process works with the multi level complexity of experience and the emotions that accompany experience. In being open to that, I temporarily satisfy unsettled feelings.

My work explores inner landscapes, sharing my journey in a way my capacity for language does not allow. Materials, textures, marks, shapes, and composition are the elements of this language. The images result in a feeling of resolution.

This is not a land of logic. It’s an environment of intuition.

I’m interested in our impermanent biological selves and our access to a vast consciousness; how everything interconnects.

It seems our bodies and minds interface with each other and all the systems we are held in.
I am exploring this using images of blood cells to represent common humanity. Nerves and neurons are contrasted with newspaper (polarized info from the outside world.)

From that investigation, images come up; dictated somewhat by whatever materials I chose to use.
I hope these might be of interest to you, and conjure your own poetry in response.
