Become a Board Member

Gallery Route One is seeking Board Members.

Support our exhibitions and community outreach programs by serving on the GRO Board of Directors. Currently, our Board meets 6 times a year, every other month. Board meetings average about one and a half hours. Board Members are encouraged to join a committee where the real work of the Board is done.

Board Members are expected to develop and/or nurture relationships with major donors; these relationships are critical not only to the Gallery’s fiscal stability, but to our responsiveness to the community’s needs and interests. Additionally, through ongoing and dynamic relationships with our donors, we can better understand how to help them see the value in what we do and retain them as enthusiastic funders and as engaged thought partners.

Lastly, Board members provide support and guidance to the Executive Director and participate in Gallery functions as appropriate.

Our Board members are critical to the ongoing success of GRO because they:

Help us raise the money that keeps our operations and programs going
Help us develop and keep meaningful connections to the community
Help us make sure we remain fiscally stable
Help us achieve our goals for our artists and our community
Help us hold true to our mission
