Story of the Box

I have been working in kiln-formed glass for nine years. My favorite work makes the most of a signature quality of the medium: the way that both light and the viewer’s gaze penetrate the artwork itself. The piece I have created for the Box Show combines the techniques of powder printing (fusing glass powder onto layers of sheet glass) with the technique called “working deep,” to create an image of a local landscape that invites the viewer in.
