Palter, Nick – Box of Blocks

Story of the Box

Inspired by childhood memories of playing with wooden blocks & a longtime fascination with different types of wood, this year’s box utilizes natural & recycled materials; all wood blocks are from locally sourced / harvested woods & wood remnants:

– Wood Species: As designated on each block with a 2 letter abbreviation which corresponsd to the LEGEND on the front, left side of the Box. Many of blocks have natural checking & / or pest-bored holes, all left to enhance & celebrate their natural beauty.

– Box Handles: Fashioned from leather belt scraps & fastend with chrome Chicago Screws & brads.

– Boos Block Mystery Oil (mineral,linseed & orange oils):

Hand-rubbed onto wood blocks to enhance their natural color & grain.

– English Briwax (containing Beeswax & Carnauba wax): Hand-rubbed onto inside & outside of the wood box.
