Gallery Route One presents a new exhibition of sculpture, printmaking, photography, textiles and drawing by Robin Dintiman. Working across this multiplicity of disciplines, her work uses traditional media, often fused with experimental materials.
For Dintiman, an authentic experience of fully being in the world requires abandoning our separateness from Nature.
She writes, “I wade through the tenous, fragility, vulnerablity, transcience, transformation, the unknown and the incomplete. Epigenetics’ triggers intuitive knowledge from generations past. My joy vigorously and authentically as the heliotrope of the plant, guides the works of evolution. One cannot swim in the same waters twice. The deep artifacts of my youth subsume connecting to rhetorical poetic images of civilizations past. An Indira’s Web of activity sparks neurological paths not taken. Trauma slow to loosen from pasha slackens. The waters of the physical world merge with psychic reverberations of our salty origins.”
