Brian Kirven is a California Poet in the Schools and writer who lives and writes out of Point Reyes Station, where he also introduced the urban-based curriculum of San Francisco’s Center for the Art of Translation’s educational program Poetry Inside Out into West Marin School from 2011-2015.
Brian swims almost daily in Tomales Bay, the main source of inspiration for his poetry collection, Shorelines: A Traveler Comes Home to the Tide Zone.
Brian has been published in numerous journals and anthologies, including California Quarterly, Inverness Almanac, The Kerf and West Marin Review.
