In truth, everywhere in and around Point Reyes is beautiful. This is the first time I have lived near the ocean and I find it very relaxing. I don’t have any regular time for taking pictures, but there is always the dawn and the sunset. I keep my camera close by, in my car, even on work days, and I take pictures spontaneously, wherever I am, of whatever attracts me. I don’t feel confident taking pictures of people, it is always the natural world that I want to photograph. Certain things I feel I must take the photo quickly so it does not go away, like when there is fog coming in, or the sun setting, the scene can change so rapidly. Part of why I photograph is that I want to be able to hold on to all this beauty that I find here.

En verdad, en todas partes y alrededor de Point Reyes es hermoso. Esta es la primera vez que he vivido cerca del mar y me resulta muy relajante. Yo no tengo tiempo regular para la toma de fotografías, pero siempre hay el amanecer y el atardecer. Guardo mi cámara cerca, en mi coche, incluso en días de trabajo, y me tomo fotos de forma espontánea, donde quiera que esté, por lo que me atrae. No me siento seguro de tomar fotografías de personas, siempre es el mundo natural que quiero fotografiar. Ciertas cosas que siento que debo tomar la fotografía con rapidez por lo que no desaparece, al igual que cuando hay niebla que viene, o la puesta de sol, la escena puede cambiar tan rápidamente. Parte de la razón por la que la fotografía es que quiero ser capaz de mantener a toda esta belleza que encuentro aqu.
