When I started out photographing over these past two years I felt lost. In the past we always had a theme, an assignment. In thinking about what I wanted to photograph, I began to see that water kept attracting me. I think of water as being like emotions, and the changes in the sea are like the changes in our daily lives. The sea has high and low sounds, soft and strong. When it is quiet, you can relax and feel peace in your soul, like when a soft song is played on a piano or by an orchestra. But when there are enormous waves and strong sounds, it is like hearing a rock song that makes you feel adrenaline go all through your veins.
When I see these pictures I feel many different emotions. As human beings we are connected with the mysteries of life all the time. So the water marks in the sand are so delicate, they look to me like the imprint that a soul might leave.
Before learning photography I always liked art, but I had no skills. Photography has given me a way into being an artist where I can express what my life is.

Cuando empecé a fotografiar estos dos últimos años me sentía perdida. En el pasado siempre hemos tenido un tema, una misión. Al pensar en lo que quería fotografiar, empecé a ver que el agua seguía atraerme. Pienso en el agua como si fuera las emociones y los cambios en el mar son como los cambios en la vida diaria. El mar tiene sonidos de altos y bajos, suaves y fuertes. Cuando está en calmado, puedes relajarte y sentirte en paz con tu alma, como cuando una canción suave se toca en un piano o en orquesta. Pero cuando hay enormes olas y sonidos fuertes, es como escuchar una canción de rock que te hace sentir la adrenalina que va toda a través de tus venas. Cuando veo estas fotos me siento muchas emociones diferentes. Como seres humanos estamos conectados con los misterios de la vida todo el tiempo. Las marcas de agua en la arena son tan delicadas, para me se miran como la huella que salen del alma. Antes de la fotografía siempre me gustó el arte, pero no tenía ninguna habilidad. La Fotografía me ha dado un paso en ser una artista en el que puedo expresar lo que es mi vida.
