Marj Burgstahler Stone

Gallery Route One lost a fine sculptor and one of its original 25 artist members when Marj Burgstahler Stone passed away this summer. She felt the human-caused threat to wildlife keenly, — especially the threat to birds, whose forms populate so much of her recent work. She was a tireless supporter of the Gallery Route One, serving in many capacities, beginning as our first bookkeeper, and she participated in our Box Show every year. We miss her deeply.
