On Saturday January 24, 2026, Gallery Route One opens THE EDGE OF POSSIBLE, its Annual Juried Exhibition. This exciting exhibition fills the entire gallery space, featuring 55 contemporary artworks in diverse media and styles, all created by Northern California artists. The show runs through Saturday February 28.

On January 24, from 3-5 pm, the public is invited to a festive reception and awards presentation by our 2026 juror, Lori Austin of Lori Austin Gallery. Come celebrate with us!

GRO’s Annual Juried Exhibition is a fixture at Gallery Route One. It has been presented annually for more than forty years, with a different juror selected each year from Bay Area artists, critics, and gallerists. Submissions are open to all Northern California artists.

Our 2026 Juror, Gallerist Lori Austin, curated THE EDGE OF POSSIBLE, generously filling the gallery with fifty-five contemporary artworks. (The work is juried from 428 works submitted by 178 artists.) With over three decades in the art world, Lori Austin is a curator and founder of Lori Austin Gallery— in Healdsburg and Sonoma—focusing on artistic integrity and diverse perspectives, showing contemporary and indigenous artworks that bridge cultural traditions and contemporary expression.

The Annual Juried Exhibition reflects GRO’s mission to originate and present contemporary art exhibitions, educational programs and community outreach to inspire people to experience the world in new ways. The artists at GRO believe that art can be a powerful force for change, and that artists have much to contribute to critical dialogues in our society.
