Visit GRO and shop during business hours:
Open 11 AM – 5 PM
Thursday – Monday
When you visit Gallery Route One to see our fantastic exhibitions, you will notice our little gift shop as you enter. Not only will you find special things that are one of a kind, handmade, and unique, you will also have the opportunity to support a wonderful arts organization. When you shop at GRO this holiday season, we want you to be aware of the impact of your choice to shop with us.
SUPPORT LOCAL ARTISTS
The money made in the gift shop is used to directly support our exhibition and outreach programs. Those programs include our Exhibition Program, Visiting Artist Program, our Artists In the Schools Program, our Fellowship Program, and the Latino Photography Project. It is our mission to inspire people to experience the world in new ways, and it is our hope that you will be inspired when you visit Gallery Route One and our gift shop, GROshop.
HANDMADE ARTWORKS
In the GROshop you will find delightful handmade items such as whistles made from bottle caps and aluminum cans, building blocks made from scraps of wood, hats and purses made from upcycled clothing scraps, and jewelry fashioned from discarded silver forks and spoons or glass bottles. It is one of our values at GRO to care about the environment, so these items reflect a desire to keep trash out of the landfills.
LOCAL ARTISTS
We also care about presenting the work of local makers, so you will also find beautiful ceramics by a maker in Point Reyes Station or Sebastopol, CA, and glass works by a maker in Inverness, and leather bags by a maker in San Francisco. If we can’t find local, we focus on things made by artisans from across the USA. One of our favorites right now are sculptural works and vases by a maker from Venice CA. You will also find books by local artists and authors in the GROshop.
Some of the items in the GROshop are available online, but most are found right inside the gallery. Stop in today and see what delights you!
