    Winning an Auction & Picking Up Artwork

    IMPORTANT: Please DO NOT arrive at the gallery to pick up artwork if you have not checked out ONLINE first. When the auction is over and your bid is the highest, an email will be sent to your account email address. Follow these instructions to checkout:

    1. Follow the Pay Now email link after winning your auction.
    2. You’ll be taken to the website and should see the checkout screen with your artwork listed. If you won multiple auctions and are logged in to your bidding customer account, go to My Auction and select the Add to cart button. Consolidate your purchases by returning to your My Auctions page and selecting Add to cart for each item won until your cart shows all auctions.
    3. When you’re ready to pay, goto the Checkout page and enter your contact information and payment details. If using a Credit Card, finalize the purchase and your payment will be sent encrypted to our secure payment processor. Otherwise, choose Cash or Check payment to pay when you pick up the artwork.
      NOTE: we cannot see or save any credit card numbers. A highly secure tunnel is created outside our website when credit card payments are sent so no sensitive payment information is saved nor lost.
    4. Visit the gallery to pick up your artwork during business hours from 11 AM – 5 PM, Thursday – Monday:

    Logged In But Cart Is Empty

    If you’ve logged into your customer account and see no items in your cart, you still need to add your auction(s) to your cart. IMPORTANT: Please DO NOT arrive at the gallery to pick up artwork if you have not checked out first. 

    1. Follow the Pay Now email link after winning your auction.
    2. You’ll be taken to the website and should see the checkout screen with your artwork listed. If you won multiple auctions and are logged in to your bidding customer account, go to My Auction and select the Add to cart button.     3.     Missing Pay Now Winner's Email

    If you cannot find your auction winner’s email and want to pay for your artwork, there are a few alternate routes to checking out:

    1. Goto the My Account page to login with your bidding customer account.
    2. You should land in your My Account dashboard, then select Auctions.
    3. Find the winning auction and select its Add to cart button. Alternately, goto the page for the auction product you won. When logged in to your bidding account, an Add to cart button should appear there. If you won multiple auctions, return to the Auctions page to add more to your cart. This way you can consolidate payment and checkout all at once.
    4. You should see the Checkout page where you can enter your contact and payment information. Credit card payment is securely available online or choose Check or Cash for in-person payment when you pickup your art.

    Receive another copy of your auction winner’s email:

    • If you can’t find the Add to cart buttons mentioned above, let us know by calling 415.663.1347 or contact us via email.
    • We’ll need to know your customer account login name or email and auction artwork title. Also, inform us if you won multiple auctions and want us to resend others as well.
    • We’ll then resend that email which should land in your customer account email address. Select the Pay Now button in the email to access your checkout where you can enter your contact and payment information. Credit card payment is securely available online or choose Check or Cash for in-person payment when you pickup your art.

    Password Reset
    1. Go to the My Account page. 
    2. Select the Lost your password? link at the bottom of the left Login column.
    3. Enter either your Username or Email in the field and select the Reset password button.
    4. Check your email account for a message titled: Password Reset Request.
    5. Select the link near the bottom: Click here to reset your password. 
    6. You’ll be taken back to a browser window where you may enter your new password (the same password in both fields).
    7. Finally, if the password was accepted, you’ll be asked to login with your username or email and the new password to access your My Account page.
    Bidder Contact Information

    Fill in the contact information such as First and Last name so we can know who you are in case you win an auction. Phone number will greatly facilitate contact too.

    1. After logging into your account, goto the My Account page.
    2. Select the Account details link in the left column.
    3. Enter your First name and Last name.
    4. Select the Save Changes button at the bottom.
    5. For phone and address information, select the Addresses link in the left column and select the Edit link next to the Billing address area.
    6. When done, select the Save Address button at the bottom.
    Personal Information Management

    Credit Card Payment

    When you pay via credit card at checkout, we cannot see or save any credit card information. A highly secure tunnel is created outside our website when credit card payments are sent so no sensitive payment information is seen or saved and therefore cannot be lost by Gallery Route One.

    Contact Address

    We are required to collect personal contact information for charging credit cards and for verifying identity for other means of payment. This is limited to the minimum such as name, email, mailing address, and phone number. Note that in many instances having this contact information benefits customers since it facilitates shipping or contacting people who neglect to pick up their artwork.

    While no computer system is 100% safe from leaks, we employ multiple levels of security measures including obscuring with industry standard encryption the transmission of all communications via our website, sophisticated and tested firewall software, plus numerous techniques to harden databases and hosting environments used to run this website and more.

    Removing Contact Information

    If you do not want us to have your personal information, please contact us to make a deletion request. Note that our system requires a confirmation via the email used in your account as a security measure. You must be able to access your account’s email address and select a link in the email in order to complete the user data deletion process.
