Seeking Gift Shop Buyer / Manager

Gallery Route One, a nonprofit art gallery in Point Reyes Station, is seeking a trend-savvy buyer with excellent taste to fill our gift shop with exciting products. We value work that is locally made, USA at least, and work that cares about the environment…upcycled and repurposed products are best.

Your goal is to fill the shop with eye-catching, joyful, handmade, wearable/functional art that sells well to raise money for our nonprofit.

Rate of pay is $30/hr; not more than 15 hours per month on average.

Skills required for this position include the ability to:

• Utilize and keep updated the Square Point of Sale System (POS) and the online store; address and resolve problems with Square POS
• Either shoot product photos or capture them from vendor sites for use with Square POS and the online store
• Maintain records for consignment sales plus issuing payments requests to our bookkeeper
• Monitor the spending budget for buying products for the store
• Merchandise the store in an attractive way and to create signage as needed
