“IN/OUT”   An installation of Sacred Texts which are incised words and phrases on small sheets of paper enhanced with gold, black or red ink.  The installation is based on Diana Marto’s year long investigation into the dark and the light, which began in Berlin and culminated in her October performance in the cell house on Alcatraz.  The term “sacred texts” is inspired by the experience of engaging with the collection of original sacred texts spanning all of human civilization at the British Library.
