Vickisa's educational journey has taken her to many different places including Bard College, the University of Arizona, and The San Francisco Art Institute where she earned a M.F.A.

Vickisa is a singular Art Teacher, incorporating all of her varied interests in her teaching. She created an Art Program for the Presidio Hill School, and Prestwood School and represents Gallery Route One in their Artists in the Schools Program. She has been an art teacher at many other schools and workshops including Project AVARY, one room schoolhouses, and the Homeless Prenatal Program.

Vickisa is especially passionate about a project she created for 8th graders: the Self reflective Portrait Project in the style of Frida Kahlo. She views this project as a right of passage for students on their way to high school and envisions taking it worldwide.

In Point Reyes Station Vickisa Directs the Dance Palace Camp, is a member of Gallery Route One where she also serves as their Promotion coordinator, and is a volunteer radio programmer for KWMR Community radio in West Marin . She is an Emergency Medical Technician and firefighter for the Bolinas Fire Department. She also sits on the Board of Directors for Art at the Cheese Factory.

Vickisa has managed singer Rosalie Sorrels and was founding partner of the Wild Rose Cafe in Bolinas. Through out all of these various jobs and experiences Vickisa has continued working as a creative Artist.
